OZZY OSBOURNE: 'Ghostbusters' Cameo Details Revealed

July 14, 2016

Ozzy Osbourne makes a cameo in the remake of the 1986 beloved hit "Ghostbusters", due out later this week.

According to Birmingham Mail, the new film includes a rock group called BEASTS OF MAYHEM playing on stage when a ghost appears.

Billed as "famous rock star," the BLACK SABBATH singer has dark patches round his eyes and is only on screen for a few seconds. However, he does manage to get a line of dialogue — and it's a question directed at wife Sharon Osbourne about whether he's daydreaming again.

The news of a "Ghostbusters" Ozzy Osbourne cameo was broken last August by The Boston Herald. A week earlier, prop posters appeared outside Boston's Wang Theatre, transformed into the Stonebrook Theatre for the film, advertising a "Rock Revenge Fest featuring Ozzy Osbourne" as part of a "12 Hour Marathon of Metal."

The publication's spies reported crew members talking about Osbourne outside the theater, as "Ghostbusters" leads Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones filmed inside. Previously, a Boston-area casting call sought extras with a metalhead look to play the audience members of a heavy metal concert.

The original 1984 movie was directed by Ivan Reitman, who is an executive producer on the reboot, directed by Paul Feig.

Feig's "Ghostbusters" finally rolls out in theaters on July 15.
